They can't, read Ezekiel 18 - "The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him." (KJV v. 20). Unless you think Ezekiel isn't the word of God?

you quote the scriptures, now I am going to quote the scriptures, too.:
Psalm 40:6-17 6 Sacrifice and offering you did not desire—
but my ears you have opened[a]—
burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not require.
