ARUTZ SHEVA PRINTS LIES ABOUT JEWS FOR JESUS & THE HOLOCAUST

One of the lead stories on April 25th from Arutz Sheva, a daily electronic Israeli news service, falsely accuses Jews for Jesus of stating the following on our website:

"…that the Jews are to blame for the persecution they have experienced over the generations, and especially for the Holocaust because of their rejection of Jesus."

Not only is the above statement not on our website, the sentiments expressed have no basis in reality as a belief held by our organization.

David Brickner, executive director of Jews for Jesus, commented,

"The lack of journalistic integrity exhibited by Arutz Sheva and its reporter, David Lev is both sad and shocking.  Jews for Jesus is demanding a retraction and an apology and will be seeking what recourse is available to us in this matter."

Note: The article in question, Major Israel Newspaper Runs Missionary Ad by David Lev, also inaccurately states that,

"For the first time, a major Israeli newspaper has accepted an ad from an open missionary group" 

in reference to a full-page Jews for Jesus ad (seen pictured on the right) published in Calcalist on Wednesday,  In fact, Jews for Jesus has placed advertisments of this nature in Israeli newspapers since May of 2008 including HaAretz, Ma'ariv and Yediot.  This is one way we are presenting our position on Jesus to Israelis who are curious.
