And the glass knights move
their fragile hands
to touch the world. Light
flows through them: their lives
separate truth into bands of light
that we can read.
The glass knights shine
in their translucent armor, battling the spirits we cannot see.
The knights seem foolish
in their honesty but they stand
unmelted by summer
and strong in the winter's sun.
