Moti Vaknin was born in Israel. His father is baal teshuva (a secular Jewish person who became religious) and the rest of his Moroccan Israeli family is Orthodox. As a young adult, Moti spent a year in California, then moved to New York City. He met a man there who, while not Jewish, spoke Hebrew and wanted to move to Israel. This man told Moti that the Messiah came from Israel. Through this new friend, Moti met several Jewish believers in Jesus and went to a Shabbat dinner at the Brooklyn home of our staff members Jhan and Melissa Moskowitz. About three months later, at Passover, Moti invited Y’shua into his heart. He is now back in Israel, studying at Israel College of the Bible and serving with Jews for Jesus as associate staff.
